TCAS focuses on dogs with complex behavioural needs where traditional rehoming or rescue pathways may not be suitable, safe or sustainable. This includes dogs with bite histories or involvement in behavioural, welfare or legal proceedings, where appropriate assessment and safeguards can be explored.

Every dog and situation is different, so pathways will always depend on behavioural assessment, welfare considerations, safety and available resources.

Depending on the individual case, we may explore:
– Behavioural assessment and management planning
– Rehabilitation and training-focused support
– Sanctuary-based or long-term/life-long managed care
– Specialist placement pathways where appropriate
– Collaborative planning alongside veterinary and behavioural professionals

We recognise that not every pathway will be suitable for every dog, and all decisions will be approached carefully, responsibly and on a case-by-case basis.

No. TCAS currently operates on a referral-led basis and does not accept direct public surrenders.

Absolutely. While we do not currently accept direct surrenders, we welcome enquiries, support and connections from members of the public who wish to learn more or support the mission.

TCAS aims to work collaboratively with veterinary professionals, behaviourists, welfare organisations and other professionals involved in behavioural or welfare-related cases.
