The Canine Advocate Sanctuary

A safe alternative for dogs at risk of behavioural euthanasia

Not every dog can be safely rehomed. In some cases, traditional rescue and rehoming pathways may no longer be suitable or safe. This can leave very limited alternatives for complex dogs including those with bite history, trauma, or legal restrictions.
Our aim is provide secure sanctuary, behavioural rehabilitation where possible, and lifelong care when rehoming is not an option.

TCAS currently operates on a referral-led basis and does not accept direct public surrenders at this time.
All cases are carefully reviewed to assess suitability, safety and available resources. While we are unable to accept every case, all enquiries are treated with care and understanding.
If you are a veterinary professional, welfare organisation, behaviourist or legal representative seeking to discuss a potential case, please contact us.

Meaningful support can come in many forms.
We welcome connections with veterinary professionals, behaviourists, welfare organisations, local businesses and individuals who share our belief that dogs with complex behavioural needs deserve thoughtful, responsible and compassionate consideration.
Whether you are interested in raising awareness, supporting fundraising efforts, exploring partnership opportunities or simply following and sharing our journey, we would love to hear from you.
